Dr. Dexter specializes in high-risk obstetrics, medical and obstetrical complications, pre-pregnancy consultation, prenatal diagnosis and treatment, evaluation of congenital anomalies, and pre-pregnancy counseling of patients with prior congenital anomalies. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and maternal fetal medicine.

Dr. Dexter has been practicing at Albany Medical Center since 1996. He completed his residency training at Albany Medical Center and a fellowship in maternal fetal medicine at Women & Infants Hospital in Rhode Island. He earned his medical degree from Tufts-New England Medical Center.
