High Risk Pregnancy Care (Maternal Fetal Medicine)
Supporting High-Risk Pregnancies
Our team at Albany Medical Center is comprised of Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists, genetic counselors, and clinical nurses who provide integrated care for your high-risk pregnancy. Our specialists can work with your primary OB/GYN provider during your pregnancy, or for more complex maternal or fetal conditions, we provide comprehensive obstetric care.
We also see patients in Hudson.
Preconception
The Maternal Fetal Medicine team offers preconception consultations for patients who would like to expand their family but have underlying chronic medical conditions (such as diabetes, lupus, heart disease, etc), prior pregnancy complications (such as preterm birth, preeclampsia, etc), or known genetic conditions. Our team can offer recommendations for optimizing maternal health prior to pregnancy, prevention of pregnancy complications, optimizing medication use if needed, and genetic testing or screening for patients and their partners. We also specialize in recurrent pregnancy loss and medical conditions which may impact your ability to become pregnant.
