Briana Benson has been a physician assistant for more than 10 years. She assesses and treats small soft-tissue lesions that can impact daily life, including skin tags, moles, cysts, and lipomas (benign, slow-growing fatty tumors), and provides cosmetic injectables, including Botox and fillers. In addition, she works directly under surgeons in the operating room, and sees post-operative and trauma patients for follow-up visits, as well as those who were originally seen in the Emergency Department.
A graduate of Albany Medical College’s Center for Physician Assistant Studies, Benson started her career in orthopedics before moving to the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. After a brief time in private practice, she returned to Albany Medical Center in early 2026.
