Dr. Kogan is a nationally recognized expert in the fields of urology and pediatrics. He maintains an active clinical practice, treating patients for both primary and complex care needs that include genital and urinary tract reconstruction, prenatal urinary and kidney problems, and disorders of sex development in children.

Dr. Kogan has been honored with numerous awards, including the 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Urological Association for his leadership and contributions to the practice, science and education of pediatric urology.

Dr. Kogan has been a trustee and vice president of the American Board of Urology and has served as an expert for many professional societies including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Societies for Pediatric Urology, the National Kidney Foundation, the European Society of Pediatric Urology and the American Urological Association. The recipient of numerous national awards, he has been an invited visiting professor at major academic medical centers worldwide, is the author of more than 220 professional peer-reviewed publications and 39 book chapters, and is co-editor of the Handbook of Pediatric Urology.
