Dancing in the Woods Gala to Benefit Children with Cancer
Albany Med’s 38th annual Dancing in the Woods, the region’s premier holiday gala, will take place 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4 at The Armory at Russell Sage College, 130 New Scotland Ave., Albany, N.Y.
One of the region’s largest and longest running fundraisers, Dancing in the Woods benefits the Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Med.
Begun as a small holiday gathering in 1984, over the years Dancing in the Woods has raised more than $9.5 million to support the Melodies Center, the region’s only childhood cancer treatment center. CDPHP is the title sponsor of the event for the 21st consecutive year.
The gala will feature a variety of specialty foods and desserts and live music by the Blake Band of New York City.
