Albany Medical Center Welcomes Kidney Specialist Dr. Emmanuel Aydin-Ghormoz

Emmanuel A. Aydin-Ghormoz, MD, has joined the Department of Medicine’s Division of Nephrology at Albany Medical Center, a member of the Albany Med Health System.

A general nephrologist, Dr. Aydin-Ghormoz cares for patients with a wide range of kidney diseases, including acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, glomerulonephritis, electrolyte disturbances, and hypertension. He has a special interest in home dialysis modalities, which can offer better quality of life and better outcomes for patients.

Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Aydin-Ghormoz served as a hospitalist at Albany Medical Center before completing a fellowship in nephrology, also at Albany Medical Center. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, N.Y. and earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia.

Dr. Aydin-Ghormoz is seeing patients at Albany Medical Center’s South Clinical Campus, 25 Hackett Blvd. in Albany, and at the Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Sports Medicine & Specialty Care, 1019 New Loudon Rd., Suite 101, in Cohoes.
