Dr. Khalak is a board-certified neonatologist at Albany Medical Center. She completed a Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship and a Pediatrics Residency at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. She earned her medical degree at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY.

In December 2022, Dr. Khalak was accepted into The American Pediatric Society. Dr. Khalak is also the president-elect of the Eastern Society for Pediatric Research and begins her term as president in 2023. She also works closely with Albany Medical College, serving as the associate dean of Admissions and as an advising dean for medical students. She also mentors faculty and fellows at Albany Medical Center, and nationally through the American Academy of Pediatrics mentorship program.
