Dr. Pokabla completed a glaucoma fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Eye and Ear Infirmary. He completed his residency training at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and earned his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine.

His clinical interests center on new innovations in glaucoma care and he currently works as an investigator in a variety of national trials.
