Maya Gagliardi-Lacharite, MD, has joined the division of Pediatric Critical Care in the Bernard and Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center.
Dr. Gagliardi-Lacharite treats children of all ages in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). She has special interests in trauma and transport medicine.
Dr. Gagliardi-Lacharite completed a fellowship in pediatric critical care at Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit. She completed a pediatrics residency at Albany Medical Center, where she says she enjoyed working in the PICU because she treated a wide variety of conditions. She earned her medical degree at St. George’s University in Grenada.
Dr. Gagliardi-Lacharite said she was excited to return to Albany. “When I was here for my residency, I loved the city and the people. Plus, it’s close to home in Montreal, so it felt like the perfect place.”
