Dr. Monrroy has a special interest in hypertension, glomerulonephritis, and cardio-renal syndrome.

Previously, he was a nephrologist and primary care physician at JenCare Neighborhood Medical Centers in Richmond, Virginia. He earned his medical degree from San Agustin National University School of Medicine in Arequipa, Peru. His training in the United States includes a residency in internal medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine – Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, where he also completed fellowships in nephrology and interventional nephrology.

Board certified in both nephrology and internal medicine, Dr. Monrroy and is a member of the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology and the American Society of Nephrology. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
