Dr. Beers is a nephrologist who has a special interest in glomerular disease and pregnancy-associated kidney disease. Board certified in internal medicine and nephrology, she completed a fellowship in nephrology and has advanced training in glomerular disease. She is also the medical director of the Glomerular Disease Center at Albany Medical Center.
In collaboration with renal pathologists, rheumatologists, and transplant surgeons, Dr. Beers provides consultative services, detailed evaluations, and comprehensive treatment plans for patients with complex glomerular diseases. She also assists with fertility planning for women who have chronic kidney disease (CKD) or who have had a kidney transplant, and treats hypertensive diseases of pregnancy, including preeclampsia, eclampsia, gestational hypertension and chronic hypertension. In addition, Dr. Beers cares for adult patients with general kidney conditions, including CKD, acute kidney injury, and hypertension.
