Frances Williams, MS, OTR/L, earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Russell Sage College in 2014 and began her career at Albany Medical Center Hospital in 2015. Early in her career, she worked on the Neuro-Trauma ICU floor as part of a pilot mobility program designed to improve patient outcomes and reduce hospital length of stay. She received the Albany Med Health System I CARE Award in 2020 and transitioned to Albany Medical Center Outpatient Therapy in 2022.
Frances specializes in the treatment of neurologic conditions including stroke, Parkinson’s disease, traumatic brain injury, post-concussion syndrome, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, brain cancer, and dystonia. She also works with patients experiencing cognitive changes related to post-Covid conditions and dementia, providing education and support for both patients and families. In addition, she has experience in hand therapy and treating school-aged children with developmental delays.
Frances is a Vivistim Paired Vagus Nerve Stimulation provider and a Certified Fall Prevention Specialist. She is passionate about providing evidence-based, individualized care and especially enjoys rehabilitation in the post-stroke population.
