Nephrologist Dr. Sidrah Abid Joins Staff

Sidrah Abid, MD, will join the Division of Nephrology at Albany Medical Center, a member of the Albany Med Health System, effective Dec. 11.

Dr. Abid cares for patients with all types of kidney diseases, including chronic kidney disease, acute kidney failure, glomerular disease, electrolyte disorders, hypertension, and cystic diseases, in which sacs of fluid (cysts) form in or around the kidneys.

Dr. Abid completed a fellowship in nephrology at Albany Medical Center. Prior to that, she spent four years as a hospitalist at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., and earned her medical degree at Rawalpindi Medical College in Pakistan.

Dr. Abid will see adult patients at Albany Medical Center’s South Clinical Campus, 25 Hackett Blvd., Floor 1, in Albany and at Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Sports Medicine & Specialty Care, 1019 New Loudon Rd., Suite 101, in Cohoes.
