Infectious Disease Specialist Dr. Benjamin Tack Joins Albany Medical Center

Benjamin Tack, DO, has joined the Department of Medicine’s Division of Infectious Disease at Albany Medical Center.

Dr. Tack cares for adult patients with a wide range of infectious diseases, including influenza, Covid-19, and the bacterial infections methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and C. difficile. He has a special interest in new and emerging infections, prevention, antibiotic-resistant infections, and antibiotic stewardship.

Originally from Kingston, N.Y., Dr. Tack completed a fellowship in infectious diseases at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., and a residency in internal medicine at New York University Winthrop Hospital in Mineola. He earned his medical degree from New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury. He is board certified in internal medicine and infectious disease.
