Gastroenterologist Dr. Anika Paradkar Joins Albany Medical Center

Anika Paradkar, MD, has joined the Department of Medicine’s Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Albany Medical Center, and has been appointed assistant professor at Albany Medical College, where she is also the associate program director for the Gastroenterology Fellowship.

Dr. Paradkar focuses on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), which includes Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and dedicates time on Mondays solely to see IBD patients. She also cares for patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), dysphagia, Barrett’s esophagus, and other conditions affecting the upper GI tract, and performs diagnostic and screening colonoscopies and upper endoscopy procedures.

Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Paradkar completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Albany Medical Center. She completed residency training at Stony Brook University Hospital and earned her medical degree from Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University.
