Albany Med Health System Recognized for Digital Health Achievement

The Albany Med Health System has once again been recognized among the Most Wired health care organizations in the nation by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME).

CHIME’s Digital Health Most Wired Survey is an international benchmarking and recognition program that evaluates the adoption, integration, and impact of digital technologies at health care organizations across the world. The 2026 survey assessed more than 44,000 facilities in key areas including clinical quality and safety, analytics and data management, cybersecurity, population health, infrastructure, patient engagement, and innovation.

The Albany Med Health System was recognized for its optimal use of technologies in both the Acute Care and Ambulatory Care categories.

“This recognition reflects the talent and dedication of our technology team,” said Robbie Freeman, DNP, RN, chief digital officer for the Albany Med Health System. “We are partnering with colleagues across the health system to advance patient care, clinical research, and medical education. Together, we strive to be the region’s most connected, integrated, and transformative health system and the first choice for patients in the communities we serve.”

All hospitals and outpatient locations in the Albany Med Health System are connected through a single electronic medical record (EMR), unifying patient records and introducing a shared portal where patients can easily access their health information, refill prescriptions, and pay bills.
