Dr. Gilbert treats patients for peripheral arterial disease, abdominal and thoracic aortic aneurysms, peripheral aneurysms, carotid artery disease, thrombosis, end stage renal disease and venous insufficiency. He is skilled in performing minimally invasive endovascular interventions, lower and upper extremity revascularizations, carotid endarterectomy, abdominal and thoracic endovascular aneurysm and open aneurysm repair, dialysis access creation and interventions, and deep venous endovascular interventions.
Dr. Gilbert has an interest in complex aortic disease and is trained in both open and endovascular techniques. He completed a fellowship in vascular surgery at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, Ct., and completed a residency in general surgery at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, La., where he received the Excellence in Vascular Surgery Award. He received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, Miss. He is a member of several professional societies, including the American College of Surgeons and the Society for Vascular Surgery.
