Dr. Carsillo is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Albany Medical College. He completed his residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center, PA; and received his fellowship training in nephrology and hypertension at the same institution. Dr. Carsillo has practiced clinical nephrology for the past 10 years. He specializes in all forms of renal diseases including acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, dialysis and glomerular diseases. He is particularly interested in the management of patients with resistant hypertension. He is a frequent guest on National Public Radio's Medical Monday program and chairs hypertension sessions at the national hypertension meeting. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he is frequently engaged in teaching medical students, residents and fellows in training. He is an active participant in the renal pathophysiology course at Albany Medical College. He is passionate and committed to teaching and has received the highest teaching award during his stay at Albert Einstein Medical Center, PA.
