Physician Assistant Rebecca Ellwood has extensive experience in pediatric endocrinology and has a special interest in diabetes, and in insulin pumps and sensors. She is also a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) and a certified insulin pump trainer.

Ellwood grew up in central New York and earned her undergraduate degree from UAlbany. She earned a master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from Gannon University in Erie, Pa. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the AADE (Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists). She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and friends, reading, and making Ukrainian Easter eggs, known as pysanky.
