Dr. Galay specializes in the administration of anesthesia for patients of all ages. Board-certified in both adult and pediatric anesthesiology, Dr. Galay earned his medical degree from the Gomel State Medical Institute in Gomel, Belarus.
Dr. Galay was an early advocate for the use of the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery initiative at Albany Medical Center, focusing on patient education, a more targeted approach to anesthetics, and increased communication in the surgical process, with a de-emphasis on the use of opioid-based medications to treat pain.
