Boot Camp for Aspiring Biotech Leaders Begins Sept. 20

Registration is open for the 2023 Capital Region Bio Innovation Boot Camp.

Sponsored by Albany Medical College’s Office of Translational Research, Innovation, and Technology Transfer, Innovate 518, and the UAlbany Innovation Center, the boot camp is designed for anyone – from students to industry participants – interested in learning more about the biotech and bio innovation process.

Led by experts in key topic areas, weekly sessions will cover the lifecycle of a successful commercialization project, from developing a business model and protecting intellectual property, to financing the company, identifying customers, and navigating the FDA process.

Throughout the program, held on Wednesday evenings in the ETEC building on UAlbany’s uptown campus, participants will have the opportunity to network with experts and other local innovators and entrepreneurs.

The boot camp culminates on Nov. 8 with a pitch competition open to the public, where participants will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to a panel of judges. Cash and in-kind prizes will be awarded to the top pitches.
