Albany Med Health System Recognized Among “Most Wired”
The Albany Med Health System has been recognized among the Most Wired health care organizations in the nation by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME).
CHIME’s Digital Health Most Wired survey is an international benchmarking and recognition program that evaluates the adoption, integration, and impact of technologies at health care organizations across the world. The 2025 survey assessed more than 50,000 facilities in key areas including clinical quality and safety, analytics and data management, cybersecurity, population health, infrastructure, patient engagement, and innovation.
The Albany Med Health System was recognized for its optimal use of technologies in both the Acute Care and Ambulatory Care categories.
“We’re proud to once again be recognized for our efforts to advance care delivery through digital innovation such as our system-wide electronic medical record and other initiatives,” said Kristopher Kusche, senior vice president and chief information officer of the Albany Med Health System. “As emerging technologies continue to revolutionize health care, we remain committed to staying at the forefront in order to provide safe, secure care while enhancing each patient’s experience.”
All hospitals and outpatient locations in the Albany Med Health System are connected through a single electronic medical record (EMR), unifying patient records and introducing a shared portal where patients can easily access their health information, refill prescriptions, and pay bills.
