Diabetic Retinopathy Screenings

We're hosting an eye screening event for diabetic Columbia Memorial Health primary care patients on Friday, December 12, 2025 from 8 a.m.–4 p.m. at Prime Medical in the Greene Medical Arts Building in Catskill.

Patients will be screened for diabetic retinopathy by diabetes educator Julie VanAlphen, RN, CDCES.

• This event is open only to diabetic patients who see a primary care provider with Columbia Memorial Health
• Patients may drive themselves to and from their appointment
• Screenings will be performed on both eyes without dilation drops
• Pictures are sent to remote ophthalmologists to be interpreted, and a member of our team will call patients back with their results
