URINANALYSIS WITH REFLEX TO CULTURE

| Specimen Collection: | Collect 15 mL clean catch urine and transfer 10 mL into yellow (or yellow/red marble) top urinalysis tube and 5 mL into gray top urine culture preservative tube. Send immediately. Specimens are rejected if yellow top specimen is received >2 hrs post collection. Yellow/red marble top tubes are acceptable up to 48 hours after collection. Collection time must be documented. If sample is not sent to lab in yellow (or yellow/red marble) and gray top tubes, the test will be canceled and the lab will order the tests Urinalysis with Reflex to Microscopic and Urine Culture as standalone tests. |
