Dr. Allen has a special interest in pulmonary manifestations of rheumatic diseases, including dermatomyositis, scleroderma, sarcoidosis, and rheumatoid arthritis-associated interstitial lung disease. He also cares for patients with general rheumatic conditions, including lupus, gout, and psoriatic arthritis.

Dr. Allen is also a member of the medical advisory board of the Steffens Scleroderma Foundation.
