Our 43-bed center provides care to more than 46,000 patients annually.

Glens Falls Hospital is a designated as a New York State Primary Stroke Center to improve the standard of quality and access to care for patients with a presumptive diagnosis of stroke. We offer immediate, enhanced brain imaging and evaluation for patients who present to the Emergency Department and could be suffering from a stroke or stroke symptoms.

We are a recipient of the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline Award. This means that our patients benefit from our focus on acute, high-risk, and time sensitive treatment as it relates to cardiac diseases. Lifeline program’s goal is to reduce system barriers to prompt treatment for heart attacks, beginning with the 911 call and continuing through hospital treatment.

Behavioral Health Crisis Center

The Crisis Center located in the Emergency Department at Glens Falls Hospital offers immediate, 24-hour access to behavioral health crisis services for adults and children. It provides support for the rapid de-escalation of a crisis as well as a connection to community-based behavioral health services. Patients have immediate access to a care team of behavioral health professionals who provide treatment, consultation, care coordination, and discharge plans. Discharge plans will often include drug and alcohol recovery referrals as well as behavioral health services. The care team also offers assessment and referral assistance with an extensive range of community-based services.
