Dr. Alshara has advanced fellowship training in endourology and robotic surgery. He provides care to patients with conditions that include complex stone disease, benign prostate enlargement (BPH), genitourinary reconstructive needs, prostate cancer and other urologic conditions.
He was the first surgeon at Albany Medical Center to perform an endoscopic-guided PCNL procedure, which removes complex kidney and urinary stones through a tiny “keyhole” incision, and he specializes in other newly advanced minimally invasive procedures that require the use of the latest laser technology.
Dr. Alshara completed his fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic. He is a member of the Endourological Society, the Society of Urologic Robotic Surgeons and the American Urological Association.
