Nurse Practitioner Kelly Whelan practices general endocrinology. She has a special interest in disorders impacting women's health, including gestational diabetes, polycystic ovary syndrome, and osteoporosis. Prior to endocrinology, she practiced in obstetrics, gynecology, and ophthalmology.

Originally from Virginia, Whelan earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. She earned a bachelor degree in nursing from Russell Sage College in Troy and a master’s degree in nursing from SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica. She is board certified as a family nurse practitioner by the ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center).
