Jay Watsky, MD

Dr. Watsky specializes in evaluating and managing thyroid disorders, including thyroid cancer. He also sees patients for general endocrine conditions.

Board certified in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism and in internal medicine, he was one of the first physicians in the country to earn the ECNU (Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound) designation, a professional certification for endocrinologists who perform diagnostic evaluations of the thyroid and parathyroid glands through use of ultrasound and ultrasound-guided needle aspiration. He has been performing ultrasound exams and using ultrasound to guide fine needle aspirations of lesions in the neck since 1997.

Dr. Watsky completed a fellowship in endocrinology at Albany Medical Center. He completed residency training in the US Air Force, and remained on active duty for three years after Operation Desert Storm. He earned his medical degree from New York Medical College.
