Heidi Cordi, MD

Dr. Cordi has extensive training and experience in internal medicine, emergency medicine, emergency medical services, and disaster medicine. She holds two Masters degrees, one in biology research and the other in Public Health with a concentration in Health Policy and Management and Emergency Medical Services. Dr. Cordi has done prehospital trauma training and basic life support training for the United Nations in the U.S. and abroad, in addition to providing similar training at the World Health Organization. Her disaster experiences includes not only responses to natural disasters but also leading emergency management drill trainings internationally, from the lecture hall to the field response.

Dr. Cordi has been honored with the prestigious AAPS Disaster Medicine Physician of the Year award and is one of the co-founders of the American Board of Disaster Medicine. She served as President of the American Academy of Disaster Medicine from 2015-2017.

At Albany Medical College, Dr. Cordi is an associate professor of Emergency Medicine in the Division of Prehospital Care/Emergency Medical Services.
