Albany Med Health System Awarded for Best Awareness Campaign

The Albany Med Health System Communications and Marketing Department was honored with a first-place award for its brand launch and image campaign by the American Marketing Association and Public Relations Society of America Capital Region chapters. The two organizations presented their joint MARCOM awards during a ceremony in Troy on Feb. 9.

With You for Everything was awarded for best Integrated Campaign—a category for work that includes promotional advertising, news media coverage, employee communications, and more. The campaign formally introduced the Albany Med Health System brand as the unifying representation of Albany Medical Center, Albany Medical College, Columbia Memorial Health, Glens Falls Hospital, Saratoga Hospital, and the Visiting Nurses. The goal of the campaign, which will continue through March, is to educate the community about each hospital’s role in the System, and how the System increases access to the most advanced treatments through hospitals working together. It also highlights the System’s position as the largest private employer in the region, offering unique opportunities for professionals of many backgrounds to advance their careers while also supporting their own communities. The tagline, With You for Everything, represents the many moments in life health care touches, the limitless potential good health promises, and the critical role of health care providers.

“Everything about us is local,” said Matt Markham, vice president for communications and marketing. “The Albany Med Health System is our region’s only regionally governed health system, and it was very important that the campaign should reflect the core of our mission. Our hospitals and providers are people we know and trust as neighbors and friends. We aimed to celebrate that by proudly showing our unity and the great things we can accomplish together as a team. In many ways, the Albany Med Health System story is the story of the Capital Region. It’s our sincere privilege to share it.”

In 2020, Albany Medical Center received two first-place MARCOM awards for its public relations response to the Covid-19 pandemic and a television commercial reassuring the community that the hospital was a safe place to receive care. Markham was also named Marketing/Communications Practitioner of the Year, joining a select group of distinguished area communicators who have received the award since it was established.
