Handling Instructions for Offsite Areas: Gold top tube: Allow to clot, centrifuge for 20 minutes, refrigerate. Serum must be removed from red top tube.
Reference Values: 0 - 5.0 ng/mL. The ABlood Bankott Architect CEA assay is a chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay (CMIA) for the quantitative measurement of CEA. Elevated CEA levels may occur in smokers, in patients with non-malignant diseases, and in cancer patients. CEA results should be used in conjunction with all clinical information.
