Claudia Azuonye, MSN, RN, CNM, is a certified nurse midwife in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Along with midwifery, she is interested in family planning, pregnancy management, and adolescent gynecology.

Azuonye has a nursing background in neurology, neurosurgery, stroke and epilepsy. She previously worked as a registered nurse in the Progressive Care Unit for Neurology at UT Southwestern in Dallas, TX. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing and Nurse Midwife certification at Frontier Nursing University in Versailles, KY and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington in Arlington, TX.

Azuonye is originally from Nigeria, but she grew up in Dallas. She enjoys exercising, baking, trying new restaurants, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.
